Pastor
Harry F. Biles is a native of Baltimore,
Maryland, having lived in the town of
Perry Hall, about 20 or so miles
outside of Baltimore City, until going
to college in Columbus, Ohio. Pastor
Biles earned his BA degree from Capital
University (1969) and a Master of
Divinity degree from the Evangelical
Lutheran Theological Seminary (now
Trinity Seminary) also in Columbus, Ohio
(1973).
Pastor
Biles was ordained in his home
congregation, St. Michael Lutheran
Church, Perry Hall, Maryland, on July
22, 1973. He was called to St.
Nicodemus Lutheran Church in East
Aurora, New York and served as pastor
there for seven years (1973 – 1980).
In April
of 1980 he accepted the call to serve
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Laurel,
Maryland and served there as senior pastor for 21
years (1980 – 2001). In August of 2001
Pastor then moved to Lebanon, Ohio after having
accepted the call to Resurrection
Lutheran Church.
Pastor
and Sharey (Wagstaff) were married
August 23, 1969 in Clawson, Michigan by
The Rev. Edwin C. Wagstaff, Sharey’s father.
They have two married children. Their
son, Jeremy Edwin, and his wife Yuki Miyomoto of
Hiroshima, Japan, live in Chicago.
Their daughter, Kristin Joy, and her
husband Thomas Roland of Baltimore,
Maryland, live in Catonsville, Maryland.

Sharey Biles, Diaconal Minister,
Director of Lay Ministries
Sharey
Biles is a diaconal minister. Rostered
diaconal ministers are consecrated to a
Word and Service ministry after
receiving a master's degree from an ELCA
seminary. Sharey graduated in 2002 from
Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary in
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and was
installed as Director of Lay Ministries
at Resurrection Lutheran Church in the
fall of 2002.
As
Director of Lay Ministries at RLC,
Sharey focuses on helping people to
discover their spiritual gifts and then
to help them find ways of using them in
service at church, at home, and in the
community. She feels strongly that if
the God-given gifts of the people are
used, then the work of the congregation
will be accomplished. Sharey's passion
in ministry is to bring the gifts of the
Church and the needs of the world
together. |

Marilyn Galati, Director of Music

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, after
several corporate moves, Marilyn moved
to Mason, OH finally settling in West
Chester, OH. Marilyn is a self-taught
organist, but studied piano for many
years in St. Louis, Mo and
elsewhere. She has been serving
Resurrection Lutheran for over 20 years
as well as four years at All Saints
Lutheran Church in Mount Carmel. In
addition to serving RLC as an organist
and choir director, Marilyn operates an
independent piano teaching studio in her
West Chester home.
