Sharey Biles, Diaconal Minister, Director of Lay Ministries

Sharey Biles is a diaconal minister.  Rostered diaconal ministers are consecrated to a Word and Service ministry after receiving a master's degree from an ELCA seminary.  Sharey graduated in 2002 from Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and was installed as Director of Lay Ministries at Resurrection Lutheran Church in the fall of 2002.

As Director of Lay Ministries at RLC, Sharey focuses on helping people to discover their spiritual gifts and then to help them find ways of using them in service at church, at home, and in the community.  She feels strongly that if the God-given gifts of the people are used, then the work of the congregation will be accomplished.  Sharey's passion in ministry is to bring the gifts of the Church and the needs of the world together.
