Welcome

We are an Inclusive Church

At Resurrection Lutheran Church we strive to be a welcoming community. We are called by the Gospel to live in a supportive faith community; a congregation of relationships connecting us with each other and with God.

When we discover people who are feeling alone, feeling disconnected from God, or marginalized by another church, we want them to know that our doors are open for them to join us on our journey of faith together.

We strive to accept people as they are, including lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Our mission is to reach people with the love of Jesus Christ. All people, regardless of age, race, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or cultural background, are welcome at RLC. As a Lutheran Church, in accordance with the openness of the ELCA, we extend a hand of grace and peace to all who wish to join us. We believe all people are genuinely and entirely loved children of God, and we want them to know that.

As disciples, we know that society is always in the midst of controversy, and that none of us has all the answers to some of the divisions within our society, but we know that God is capable of showing extravagant grace, radical inclusion, and relentless compassion in such abundance that all we can do is stand in awe and give thanks.

No matter what a person's status, they are welcome to love and serve God in the faith community found at Resurrection Lutheran Church.
